Traditionally, I’m not a fan of Halloween. I haven’t worn a costume in years and I rarely even buy a bag of candy! This year, after chatting with my husband about our home, we decided we should try to be a little more festive and put some effort into decor. By the time we made this decision, it was mid-October. The decor is super festive but simple and easy to put together.

I added faux cobwebs from the Dollar Tree along with the little pumpkin to give our bar cabinet a spooky base. Our small skeleton man is from Party City, and so is the lone skeleton head.
The bar includes a witch’s hat, which seemed appropriate for brewing something special, and mini creepy crawly spiders.
On the table, I added a ‘creepy’ black netting as the base with black taper candles and holders. I love the dark gothic look here, only thing missing is our black flatware that unfortunately didn’t match the website description and had to return.
I up-cycled old pillar candles from our wedding for the coffee table and added a black paint drip. Our usual moss balls that nest in the black bowl were replaced with skulls.
For the porch, I went with a simple chalkboard sign and glow-in-the-dark skeleton. Most of this decor is sourced from Party City and Dollar tree. Ive added some comparable items from Amazon below.

Today, I went to the beachfront with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She placed the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
