I haven’t decorated my home much since we purchased it in 2020. Most on the items you see are an accumulation of furniture and decor we already owned. We’ve chosen to work on bigger projects but now that we’ve renovated the floors, updated the fixtures, and customized our bedroom, we plan to start investing more in actually decorating.

The open layout of my townhouse makes it a little difficult for me to choose decor pieces. It not only has to match the area, but also tie into the the combined living/kitchen/dinning vibe. I actually found this rug on Pinterest and decided to give it a try.

My initial thoughts are that I LOVE this rug. The design is really pretty and gives the kitchen a nice cozy feel!
Here are my favorite things about the rug so far:
- No shifting – We haven’t had any issues with the rug moving or sliding
- Absorbent – My number #1 reason for wanting a kitchen runner is to catch water. With the sink and dishwasher, I’ve been worried about the amount of water splashes wearing and tearing my laminate wood floors. The rug is thick enough to take water drips with no significant seep through.
- Quality – The design and the colors really come off well in person. It looks like a high quality rug.
- Washable – Obviously the biggest selling point for these rugs is the ability to throw it in the washer, making it the perfect choice for the kitchen.
Do you like this choice for our white kitchen? Let me know what you think!
